“ Brad is absolutely awesome. We came in planning to have just one drink, but Brad’s incredible service and energy made us want to stay. The drinks were fantastic – perfectly crafted – and the oysters were fresh and delicious. He really made us feel welcome and taken care of. Great service, amazing drinks, fresh oysters, and an overall vibe that made our night. Highly recommended! ”
“ This was my 4th time eating and drinking at The Port Oysteria. I love the atmosphere but I especially love Brad!! He’s one of the bartenders here and he’s absolutely awesome!! He makes great recommendations and very tasty drinks!!! The prices for happy hour are great and I love their raw oysters!! If you visit make sure to go have a seat at the bar and have Brad make your drink!! You won’t be disappointed!! ”
“ First time visiting in the area. Great downtown scene. The building was beautiful. Was open to seating at the RAW bar, which I don't regret. Had ok service from our server, but received OUTSTANDING service, communication, and experience from Chris Bello at the bar!!! He recommended the blonde ale mixed with the raspberry sour. It was 8/10. We got rockfish bites, coconut thai scallops, and crab cakes. Everything was amazing from beginning to end. Would recommend this place 10/10. ”
“ Accidentally stumbled upon this place looking for something else and what a great find! Food is outstanding! We had the ceviche(on point!) with the crab and shrimp dip(to die for, ended up licking the bowl) with the catch of the day fish tacos and grouper sandwich, best I’ve ever had. Will definitely make a point to come back, and not to mention the drinks, not only is this a 5 star restaurant where all the food is made daily from scratch, no frozen foods here, they brew and serve their very own beer! Which was delicious as well. Thanks Port Oysteria and Brewery I will be back and so will my friends! ”
“ This place was a vibe. Able to accommodate a large party with excellent service. Pleasant greetings upon arrival, servers were attentive and friendly, managers were very hospitable. The atmosphere was pretty cool, nice artwork, nice background music, peaceful environment. Nice spot for date night, family outing, or night out with friends. Didn't try the drinks but my party enjoyed them. ”
“ Yesterday I tried this restaurant, and I’m in love! I’m definitely coming back. The drinks were great they have a huge variety of cocktails and a long list of appetizers. I came during lunch, and I can’t wait to return for dinner one day. The atmosphere is very nice, and our server Mikayla was amazing, super friendly and always smiling. I have to mention the ceviche that came with green fried plantains. LOVED that part! Now, the ceviche itself wasn’t the best; it could use a bit of improvement to feel more like a traditional ceviche. I usually don’t like crab meat, but my friend ordered a dish called Crab on Asparagus—and it was honestly the best meal out of everything we tried. I was so surprised because it had crab, but it tasted amazing! The oysters were super fresh, and the octopus was also incredible. We had a lot of drinks and for being seafood usually is pricy but the check came out pretty decent ”
“ Love the ambiance and the vibe. Definitely a great addition to the downtown Fredericksburg area. A few things that I can agree with from other's opinions in the reviews that really need to be tuned up. Waiting for a waitress should not take 10 minutes after initial sit down, at least not with those prices. If someone orders a steak, it should automatically come with a steak knife. We shouldn't be waiting for the steak knife as our food is getting cold at the table. Steak needs seasoning, period the onions saved it. The asparagus and the crispy hot potatoes were excellent. My daughter got the lobster roll. Plenty of lobster A+ however, like someone else said, it was the driest lobster roll we've ever had. Please, please consider making a lemon herb butter sauce or something to make it worth ordering. The apple bourbon bread pudding, was a little underwhelming and not as appealing to the eye compared to others I've had. To be honest, the ice cream saved it. All in all it was a pretty good experience. I would definitely try again and I really want to see this spot excel. We need this, BAD! Now if we could get a little jazz lounge going that would be great!! ”
“ If you’re in downtown FXBG, you definitely need to stop in for a bite and a pint at The Point Oysteria & Brewery! The service and the food are nothing short of AMAZING. There are ten beers on tap made at here and all the food is freshly made on site with the best ingredients! Our bartender, Brad, was totally awesome. Very knowledgeable and a food pusher so be ready! As it was our first time here, he went into great detail for our food and drinks, which is always appreciated! Sonny also stopped by to chat us up about some football (soccer) and shared some of his favorite drinks here as well! Do yourself a favor and stop in. Happy Hour 3-6 M-Sat and Sunday 1-6. Come and enjoy the food and the atmosphere! We will DEFINITELY be back! Thanks Brad and Sonny! ”
